about
Aaron Everything is back with an upbeat track to kick off his Summer releases. Babe Magnet is a collaboration with Wexford based artist and producer Shmezzz. Aaron appeared on Shmezzz’s recent album ‘Ghost Stories’ the two got to speaking and have a lot of collaborations in the vault and are working on a collaborative EP.
Aaron instructed Shmezzz that he wanted a ‘bedroom disco’ beat for this release. Branching off the Bedroom Pop sub-genre which has been seen a lot in recent years with artists like Clairo.
Aaron’s writing style is very visual and is brought to life with the sound effects accompanying the music and his vocals. Aaron wrote this track about self-confidence, something he battled with until recent years. Not caring about what others think about the way you look but only needing to know in yourself that you look good. Who embodies this sentiment more than Johnny Bravo, who can be heard sampled in the intro. You can hear the car screeching off following the line ‘Leave her back home up to 54 Chevrolet drive’ to imbue the feeling of blazing down a street in a drop top back in the 70’s with your girl.
The cover art of this track is based on the Spongebob meme ‘Hi how are ya’ where Spongebob appears as a smoothe oval. The meaning is Aaron who at the moment seems from the outside he could be a bit of an average guy who hasn’t got any game. Not true though….Obviously...
lyrics
Baby take the wheel
Gon control me like the rudders
Try and put me in my place
Cause I'm nothing like the others
I got memories need erasing
She my Monday through Sunday
Keep a picture on my locker
Just to hide the medication
I can hear her whispers blowin in the wind today
Asking if gotta go or can I stay
I got 100 fuckin things to do
Girl No ain't an option when you look that way
Prove me wrong
Singing all these years
I can't find ya tone
The numpads melody
Reflects my own
Know who to call when I'm comin through
It goes 086 triple 2 12
Til I get through to you
I'm a babe magnet
That's why they find me attractive
Wet her up like a baptist
I'm a babe magnet
Girl you got me go go gon
I'm ya Gadget
I'm a babe magnet
Take her up town when she get off just after 5
I'm a babe magnet
Leave her back home up to 54 Chevorlet drive
I'm a babe magnet
Ever since your evanescence brought my body back to the life
I'm a babe magnet
Girl put that riff out ya head and the bags out ya eyes
Push it to the side
Got me waiting in wings
Hoping that I dip
Need me something to do
Sinking shots like a ship
Got me actin like a fool
Another day on the rip
My girl is a 10
She deserve a day trip
White shoes and a white shirt
Smell of cubanos
To entise her
Click click
I'm lil wayne with the lighter
She pie these other fellas like the piper
I'm a babe magnet
That's why they find me attractive
Wet her up like a baptist
I'm a babe magnet
Girl you got me go go gon
I'm ya Gadget
I'm a babe magnet
Take her up town when she get off just after 5
I'm a babe magnet
Leave her back home upto 54 beverly drive
I'm a babe magnet
Ever since your evanescence brought my body back to the life
I'm a babe magnet
Girl put that riff out ya head and the bags out ya eyes
Push it to the side
I'm a babe magnet
That's why they find me attractive
Wet her up like a baptist
I'm a babe magnet
Girl you got me go go gon
I'm ya Gadget
I'm a babe magnet
Take her up town when she get off just after 5
I'm a babe magnet
